always feel as if I can't breathe correctly

I feel as if my breathing has changed dramatically. It's not comfortable at all & It really bothers me to have to deal with it for the past month or so. It feels as if my chest is caving in & my stomach/chest moves in a weird way as I breathe, interrupting my breathing. Also, I cant sleep like this, I always feel as if I can't breathe correctly & I need to constantly stand up and try to control it but nothing really helps. Lastly I get winded really easily, simply walking up and down the stairs gets my heart racing.

Thank you for asking

It sounds like dyspnea and orthopnea. Get cardiac evaluation and pulmonary functions tests. If clear then no worries, as rest all the causes are innocuous.

take care
