Hi, I am almost 24 years old and have a baby that will be 1 in two weeks. I have not had a period since June 14th I have always been regular since I started my period at age 10. I began getting my period a month after having my son and it has been regular since... all the home pregnancy tests are negative and my OBGYN did a urine test which was also negative. Is there a chance that the urine test is wrong and a blood test will tell me different?

My OBGYN told me since the urine test is negative he would put me on 10mg of Provera for 5 days and I should get a period within 7 days and if not to call back. I finished my last Provera pill on Tuesday and no period and no sign of one either. What should I do because there is a big chance I could be pregnant. I stopped Birth Control Pills the beginning of the year.

Hi! Many thanks for your question on eHealth forum!

After the Provera pills, the period can come anytime within 4-5 days of stopping the pills. So wait out that period. If still there is no period, go for a blood pregnancy test. Hope this helps. Take care!
