I have been plagued with many allergies (the standard ones, like grass, tree pollen) for years and I also happen to have Crohn's Disease. I was wondering if there is a correlation between the two, since they both fall into the category of autimmune diseases. It would be interesting to know the number of people who have both. Usually during the spring and fall when the pollen count is highest, I tend to suffer most from my Crohn's. I'd like to know how many people experience the same effects.
Thank you,

Jim

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

Yes both crohn's disease and allergies are due to immune disorders, but they vary in the severity of the disease process and activity of the immune cells.

The chances of people having Crohns disase, having severe allergic issues is high, but the reverse is not the same.
