User Profile
My period or I believed to be my period came a week earlier than usual after a night of heavy drinking. It has lasted all week heavy light heavy light with very sever cramping all week. This is nothing normal because my period and cramps never last more than 4 days. I have been having lower back pains and very sever cramps and I would like to know whats going on with me. A couple weeks back I had unprotected sex without the pull out method and took a home test but came back negattive. Whats going on with me?

Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you had been sexually active without protection, then chances of pregnancy are possible, and the heavy bleeding with worsening cramps could be indicative of miscarriage/incomplete abortion etc. Other causes include hormonal imbalances, bleeding disorders, anemia, endometrial hyperplasia, etc. It is difficult to comment on the exact cause without examining you and going ahead with further evaluation. The exact cause can only be made out after careful evaluation. Do not ignore your symptoms. Consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for thorough evaluation (hormonal and blood work-up along with ultrasound scan) to look for the underlying cause for the symptoms and altered bleeding that you describe. Treatment as appropriate (based on examination findings and investigations results) would be started to help you control the bleeding and regulate your periods. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
