Alcoholism is a difficult disease for everyone -- the alcoholic, their family, and friends. Have you discussed his behavior with him, to see if he wants to seek help?

Many of my friends have successfully overcome addiction, by attending alcoholic anonymous or narcotics anonymous meetings. Others are recovering after some kind of treatment program.
