Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The emergency contraceptive pills (ECP) work in preventing pregnancy if taken within 24-48 hours of the unprotected intercourse. If there was no vomiting within 3-4 hours of its intake, then it should work as it would have passed from the stomach to the intestinal part for absorption. Wait and watch for her next periods. Consider visiting her doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance. If pregnancy gets ruled out, and if you intend to remain sexually active, consider getting your partner started on suitable regular birth control measures to be protected (after her periods). She should be regular with the birth control use as instructed. Avoid having unprotected sexual contact and repeat use of ECP.
Take care.
