Im really worried about my boyfriend. Im not quite sure if he does have Acute Schizophrenia but from what ive read thats what it sounds like, he doesn't seem to understand the consiquences of his actions and he lies to everyone because he thinks they'll hate him for the truth. He also blacks out when he gets stressed. And has told me he's feeling very depressed and like he's about to 'crack', ive suggested he goes and gets help but he doesn't want to, Ive only started noticing it in the past couple of weeks, and he's told me his mum is worried about him aswell, he can also go from been his normal self to been very hyper or unhappy. Any ideas what else this could be and how i can help him? Thanks.

There are a lot of disorders that cause black-outs or rapid changes in emotion. Most forms of Schizophrenia involve halucination and paranoia of people that you have strong emotional contact with, but it is a very undefined disorder. What's clear from your post is that your boyfriend needs psychological evaluation. If he's confided in his mother that he's worried about his health then hammer into him the importance of getting help.
