Brain and Head Injuries Answer A30023
Hi, welcome to the ehealth forum and I am glad to help you.
You seem concerned by the post head inury headaches and very stiff back that throbs between shoulder blades even 6 months after serious roadside accident.
A normal MRI Brain after the head injury is quite encouraging as far as the prognosis is concerned but there is always the possibility of post concussion symptoms after head injury and these symptoms especially headache can persist for months sometimes and can take a long time to disappear. The other possibility in your case is the interaction of alcohol with painkillers especially opioid painkillers which can cause drowsiness and feeling of uneasiness.
It is advisable to avoid alcohol as long as you are on painkillers.
You shall consult your personal physician for detailed analysis as the same is not possible online.
Hope this helps. Take care.
