I went to the doctor yesterday for stabbing pain on the right side of my belly button. It basically started in my chest, went down to my rib cage where my rib pops, down to my belly button, and now on the right side of it. I have random pain attacks and lots of nausea a few with blood in it. They say in a week results will come back in but I cant wait too long to know whats causing so much pain. Help me?

Abdominal Pain Answer A44420
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If the symptoms have not resolved, and if any internal pathology is suspected, getting ultrasound scan done would help to look for the underlying cause. Anti-emetics and antispasmodic medications could give some relief, and if the symptoms are due to infection (or if there has been fever associated), antibiotic use can also help to control the symptoms. It is difficult to comment on the exact cause for the symptoms that you describe without examining you and going ahead with further evaluation. Wait for your evaluation results. Consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation, clarification and assistance.
Take care.
