Abdominal Pain after 4 hour rehearsal of strenuous dancing..

User Profile
Hello, i am 16 years old and I am a dancer. Yesterday night I went to a 4 hour rehearsal of strenuous dancing..fast dancing that was demanding in energy and cardio. I started to feel some what of a sharp cramping pain in my lower left abdominal almost groin area. The pain hurts more from movement than rest. It comfy for me to go into futile position. I had to go to the restroom earlier today but held it till it didn't feel like i had to go...I'm wondering if this was maybe the cause. It is only on the left and from digital reasearch lots of sites say it is a hernia! Ah! Please send your feedback!

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
It is difficult to comment on the exact cause for your pain without examining you and going ahead with further valuation to confirm the examination findings and correlate with your symptoms. The pain that you describe could be due to strain on nerve or a muscle pull during your strenuous rehearsal, or it may also suggest possibility of ovulation pain, hernia onset, or lymph node inflammation. The exact cause can only be made out after careful evaluation. If the symptoms have been persistent or remain persistent for more than 48 hours, visit your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for thorough examination and further evaluation, and get started on treatment as appropriate (based on examination findings and evaluation results). Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
