a HPT was negative, but i think im going to...

I have a pretty much regular period every month, but the past two or three months its been a little early, and now its five days late. i have had cramps like a period, and the sore breasts, but no blood. a HPT was negative, but i think im going to take another one on saturday, can u please tell me whats going on???

Well, yes, repeat the test after a week, and go preferably for a blood pregnancy test as it is more reliable. If this is negative then consult your gynecologist to find out why you have irregular periods.

Various causes are polycystic ovary, thyroid problems, high cholesterol, Cushing’s disease and disorders of adrenal gland, tumors of the ovaries and adrenals, insulin resistance, obesity and hormone imbalance. Hope this helps. Take care!
