A cancerous tumor? Or an odd deposit?

User Profile
I have a small dime sized hard lump on the back of my upper thigh, near my butt. I've had it for five or six years, and I never really thought about it until now. It hasn't grown a whole lot, just a little bit. It doesn't hurt, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of feeling on it: if I scratch at it or poke it, I don't feel much. Pressing my nail down on it doesn't really hurt but definitely feels uncomfortable. Any ideas of what it is? I don't like it one bit, and if I bend over doggy style it is visible poking out of the skin, but it isn't oddly colored or anything. Not even red. It's really weird. Any help? Thanks!

Hm... I'm not sure what it could be, but a dermatologist can take a look at it for you and even get a sample to test and figure out what it is.. it could be nothing at all!

I think women with breast cancer who have isolated tumor cells or micrometastases in their sentinel lymph nodes are at increased risk for recurrence, even if their cancer.

It could be a piece of extra fatty tissue with no feelin which means it could not be attached to any nerve endings. I would recommend getting it checked out by a specialist. Again this is nothing to worry about until you know for sure what it is you could just be a person with extra skin. I really hope this helped.
