a brown spot and freckles working it's way up

User Profile
Hi, I'm nineteen years old and currently I discovered that I have a brown spot on my right index finger and freckles working it's way up to my arm. I have had this before on my left hand but between my thumb and index alot spots but they went away. I'm just curious to know why I get them is it stress? Should I worry about skin cancer? Is it a bacteria? When I was sixteen I got some white spots on my stomach but it's weird because I never expose my stomach not even when I go to the beach. But they're gone now, please help me.

Welcome to ehealthforum,
Freckles are known to occur or worsen with increase in melanin production, sun exposure, use of certain medications, etc. consider getting the examined by a skin specialist/dermatologist to look for the underlying cause for their worsening. Get started on appropriate treatment measures for control. Avoid sun exposure. Have diet rich in Vit-E and antioxidants containing foods. Consider being in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/dermatologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest.
Take care.
