a blister on the head of 9 yr old's penis?

My 9 year old son has been itching lately and now it appears to be a blister on the head of his penis. What could this be? Of coursed we know he is not sexually active so he can\'t be herpes...can it?

Blisters on the glans penis of a young boy could be due to injury or due to fungal infection. Usually fungal infections are more associated with itching.

It is very less likely for herpes to present in such age group and with a single blister.

Hence you may consult with your doctor for a proper examination and treatment for the same.
