My life has been totally ruined by Arachnoiditis. I was so glad to see this article. As the 1st person said in their story, it's a never ending nightmare and doctors, especially the surgeons that also cause it. I have gone through over 50 doctors & pain management clinics refusing to give me medications if I opt out of their 'invasive treatments'. I have been treated so badly by doctors & ER room staff! I received my first (of 31) eventual ESI's in the mid 80's, right around the time That I had my first and second pant opaque myelograms. It comes as no surprise that in the early 1990's I began showing symptoms identical to many of these cases mentioned by this author.
