Q: zyprexa side effects

hi, my mother is currently taking zyprexa but she has stopped taking it for a while after complaining about the weight gain, side effect it produces. i have got her taking it again but she complains of headaches. it also seems to give her a huge appetite mainly for chocolates. am i right to be concerned about this and to seem an alternative medication. they all seem to have side effects i just wanted to know if others have had any success with other medications.

Zyprexa has been linked to diabetes. There have been lawsuits. Talk about this to her doctor and ask if other medications would be suitable. I'm on risperdal and I don't have too many side effects.

Extremely eHealthy

My son was on zyprexa and he gained 30 lbs. in 3 months. He wanted carbs all the time. He is not taking zyprexa anymore due to the weight gain. There are other options. My son is taking risperdal too. Very few side effects and they were short lived.
