Q: Zolodex injection side effects ?

i am 36, a brief history, i had an ovarian cyst removed when i was 21, and had endometriosis....I fell pregnant miscarried 3 times and finally have a 3 year old, but my periods after him were all over the place, the pain, 4 periods a month etc.
Anyway i am now having the zolodex injection 3 monthly along with a dose of 2 mg hrt, just recently upped, but my emotions are all over the place, im very low, tired, spotting regularly along with periods again........Flying off the handle at my boyfriend for no reason, crying, can it be to do woth all thats going on in my body??

Whats going on with me??????

These are probably side-effects of your injections. Look up Zoladex and you'll see that your symptoms fit side-effects of the drug. Have you asked your doctor if the side-effects will go away over time or if there are other treatments for your condition?

Have you had your hormones checked? It may not be an issue with your female hormones. You may have some other imbalance, such as with your thyroid, which can also cause mood swings, fatigue, irregular periods, and fertility problems. Go back to the doctor and ask for some other tests, if you haven't had them.

Also, if you aren't planning on getting pregnant soon, perhaps you should consider birth control pills. That may balance things out, as well.

I have been on this zolodex for about 2 years but the side effects are worse.
Ideally they want tme to have a hysterectomy but i am over weight so they are not keen!!!

They adviced me not to have any more kids as the hrt and the zolodex has messsed up my system and i had my womb lining burnt away as well so a pregnancy is not on the cards...

Hi ive been on zolodex for nearly a yr now, and ive notice that i get emotional when period is surposed to be due eve though i dont bleed any more. Another factor
maybe hrt is not suiting you i had to change mine twice.
