Hi,
I took zithromax for chlamydia and had sex 4 days after. It only lasted about 5 minutes because I totally forgot about the 7 days for no sex. My question is was I already cured and do I have to retake the antibiotics?

Hi, and thanks for your query on eHealth forum!

It all depends on whether your partner also has Chlamydia infection. I suggest both of you get tested for Chlamydia. If either of you test positive for chlamydia, then both of you take the full course of antibiotics and refrain from sex for a week. Please consult your gynecologist regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!

Thank you, and Yes we both had it and took the antibiotics the same day. I'm just not sure if I could've gotten reinfected again from the incident since it wasn't a long period of time
