Are you sure that it's a zinc problem? I think you should go to your doctor and have a medical work-up. It could be a hormonal imbalance, a medication you're taking, a condition (such as diabetes), a scalp infection, hair treatments that damage hair, or a nutritional deficiency (not just zinc, but protein and iron).

It could be any of those things. Your doctor will want to do some blood tests and maybe take a small scalp sample. This may be an underlying medical condition that can be easily treated.

thank you so much for answering so promptly. i've blood test etc. and then read an article that biotin and zinc together may not only help with hairloss but also with high sugar levels... it actually can lower them. that is why i was asking about the zinc, because i know that since it is accumulative taking the right dosage is very imp.

you should be carefull with zinc
Go see this educational site ithyroid.com it will give you some ideas on how to use zinc with other nutrients so you don't create other inbalances in your mineral status.
