My back pain started in high school. My lower back would kill me when I woke up needing to pee really bad then it would go away within an hour. Now its unbearable. Im also 21. My problem is I have gone to 2 physical therapists. One said I have sculiosis, the other said it have bad posture and one leg is longer than the other and my hips are off. The exercises didn’t help either. My regular doctor only asks if my arms or legs go numb and suggest more physical therapy. Im not saying that’s not what I should do but I cant find a good one. My doctor finally took an xray of my upper back after hurting it once again lifting to much. She said I either have arthritis or minimal degenerative disease. my lower back is what hurts all the time though.

After 3 years of that doctor not helping me at all I found a new one. Last week she took xrays of my lower back and I guess there’s nothing wrong with them. I didnt get to talk to her and thats all her assistant said so I don’t know what to do now.

It's only partially my spine that hurts. my new doctor told my it might be cause im hyper flexible. I can partially dislocate my shoulders without even trying. She said if the tendons in my back are doing that too it could be the cause. Sometimes if im sitting and I go to pick up something on the ground my hips pop. my neck pops just from trying to stretch it and yea. Its hard to explain in words but the basic stretch everyone does, arms up as high as you can sort of thing to stretch your back. That makes a gross crunching noise up my whole spine. It's my bones too not just the tendons. Maybe the tendons being to loose or stretchy let my bones move more than they should. I can pop almost every joint in my body and most the time it happens on accident. Most of the time it hurts really bad. My wrists and hands are going too, carpel tunnel from pulling staples out of files for 5 years. My shoulder and neck are always sore and the muscles are always tight and rock solid. I get migraines when it gets really bad.

Then I noticed things like I put all my body weight on my heels. Im like 105lbs and I shake things when I walk by because I stomp without meaning to. I drag my feet pretty bad. I lock my knees when im standing. I bend with my back not my hips. Theres a lot of things that I think could be causing it. I just don’t know.

The worst part of all this is the being so young. Everyone I try to talk to says im to young for this and I think they just think im lying. My dad just finally starting acting like he didn’t think I was lying. I work for him and he's always making me run up and down stairs and pick up heavy boxes to get old files and what not. Now if I tell him I cant because my back hurts he doesn’t make me do it.

I posted a question elsewhere im not sure if anyone here will see it but is there any kind of nerve in your back that controls how much your hands and feet sweat? Im freezing today but my hand and feet wont stop sweating and my back does hurt really bad today. (I googled it after posting this there is)

Extremely eHealthy
You need to see a spine specialist, either an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in spines or a neurosurgeon that specializes in spines.

You have many symptoms of spine problems, both lumbar and cervical.

basic x-rays are a very poor tool to use to diagnose any kind of spine problems. You need an MRI and need it ordered by a spine specialist so that the correct type of MRI is done.

Don't let anyone tell you that you are too young for any kind of various health issues. It may not be common at your age, but there are many people your age with the same and similar medical and spine issues that are usually found in older people.

Get to a spine specialist as fast as you can and get a spine evaluation and go from there.

Good luck and keep us posted.
