If you can't achieve an erection or control ejaculation, you might have Erectile Dysfunction. But what primary ED symptoms should you look for?...
I first noticed a problem In my late 40's, before that I could stop the motion of sex so I could delay ejaculation, then continue with full erection to make sex with my wife last longer. Thru time after my late 40's if I stoped I would loose my erection so I had to finish or loose the erection.

My wife, as many other wifes think, they are the reason their husband can't get a erection. I keep telling her thats not why. Like any old engine the older they get the more gas they need. I am 57 now and can't get a erection to have sex with my wife. Even oral sex will not give me a erection. It takes ALLOT of excitement before I can get a erection, then it will not stay long. If I watch 2-3 mintues of a X-rated movie I can get about a 80-90% erection. Then if I jump in bed with the wife for sex the erection slowly goes down.

Do other men have this same thing? Viagra will not help at all.

I really fell my problem is physical. I have high colesterol and can't take medicine for it, I think my blood vessels are clogged down there and I can't get enough blooc into my penis.

I know its normal for older men to get ED. But why can I get a 80-90% erection watching a dirty movie and I can't with my wife. Is my wife really right, is it because shes not got the shape she had 20 yrs ago? I love my wife and it really bothers me we can't have sex.

You can get an erection pump. They will seem akward at first. But they do work for 90 percent of men. If you try a pump and are not satisfied, be patient. It takes practice. It works well for me.

From the little research I have done, it looks like with a pump you have to put a ring around the base of your penis to keep the blood in after using the pump. Isn't that uncomfortable and risky? What if someone feel asleep after sex and didn't remove the band, it would be like a Torque.

The ring must be removed within 30 minutes, you must not fall asleep with it. The ring is uncomfortable at first, you may even get slight bruising around the base/shaft of your penis. But after a dozen times, and months go by, It seems the skin at the base toughens up and it isn't uncomfortable anymore. Once you are used to it, no longer does it distract from pleasure or orgasm. But like I said, it takes practice. I believe many guys give up before they get to the point where it works well. My wife was/is very supportive and now we can have sex anytime like 20 year olds. I cannot tolerate ED drugs. Encore manual pump works best, but their rings are to soft and flimsy. I got rings from augusta vitality and they have worked perfectly. I am 55 and my erection problems were exactly like yours

tks for that input, I wondered about the difficulty of getting the ring off and hair getting caught in the ring when putting on and takeing off.

So today I was researching and found they make a adjustable quick release rings. They aren't really rings, there is some type of slide you adjust so you can tighten and loosen it so its easy to take off. But they look like they could be a problem during sex since there are loose ends that may get in the way and poke someone. I searched online and found the Encore pump, pretty expensive for no more than there's to them.

Also from research I found the pump needs to have a quick release value, doesn't look like the Encore manual pump has one. From what I read the quick release is for safety reasons along with a easy way to release the vacumn to remove the pump after the ring is in place.

Just out of curiosty I searched homemade ED pumps. All one needs is a thick unbreakable plastic clear tube and a pump system. I fish so the first thing I thought of is the ball primer pump and hose you would use to pump gas from tank to engine. Of course one would buy a new unsed one at walmart(around $10). Or the ball air pump used to take a person blood pressure. Both of those you simple sqweeze the ball to pump air out of the tube.

Anyway, tks for your input and help I appreciate it.

One thing I forgot to add. Is lots of times I wakeup in the mourning with a Erc. and I don't remember every haveing a sex dream to cause it. Its not full stone hard like when I was in my 20-40's, I would say maybe 90%. It would be good enough to have sex with my wife. So I can't understand why I can get mourning woody and not for sex.

I have read if you can get mourning wood then the problem is no physical. I am 5'8" 165, I have high colesterol so I figured that may cause poor blood flow or my viens are plugged. But since I can get mourning wood that can't be it.

Maybe I should see a Urologist. Wonder if there is any test that can be run in the private areas to check things out.

I have read the pros/cons on them. They are some people who shouldn't use them. They can cause blood clotting, penis damage, among other things. So one would have to be careful.
