I posted a week or two ago about some unusual symptoms I was having. I put off going to the doctor, hoping it would go away on its own, until finally, yesterday, after it got worse, I went to a clinic to have things checked out.

Turns out that I do have a yeast infection. And, naturally, I had to get the young, cute doctor. Awkward!

Anyway, i'm taking monistat 7 days. I took the first suppository last night, but today I found that I have more discharge than I did yesterday and instead of being itchy, there's a different kind of discomfort. I suspect the discomfort may be inflammation that I didn't notice because of all the itching.

Is this normal? I assume that the discharge might be the suppository working its way out of my body...? Or is it possibly getting worse?

Also, does the suppository HAVE to be in my body as far as it will go, or will "most of the way" suffice?

I've never had a yeast infection before, so it's all very new to me.

This has happened to me before.

I find that I got more irritated using the at store medications. I got a one time tablet from my Doctor that I took orally and the yeast infection was gone within two days. I can't remember the name of it but it works like magic!(Next time I am at the doctors I will ask)

The only problem with it is that after taking it you need to drink tons of water and cranberry juice so you don't get a Bladder infection.

I always found that store brands always irritate me more then something from the doctor. I have sensitive skin so that may be why you are feeling more irritated then before. When I took Monistat I always felt burning and it itched even worse and I had a lot of dis-charge. But it looked like the gel that was in the tablets.

I hope this helped:)
