Hi I am 28 and for about a year I have been experiencing yeast infection symptoms but there is no dandida present. It started when I was on antibiotics for an syst then had a uti.. so I was on back to back antibiotics. I ended up getting a yeast infection that just has not gone away.
I have been to a gyno for the past 8 months and have gotten no where. After numerous slides and pap smears we know there is no candida present yet I have a thick white discharge which itches and burns at the opening on my vagina. It swells when I have intercourse too. I have been tested for every STD, had all my blood sugars tested, been on a yeast fre diet.. done it all. I feel like I have a constant mild yeast infection...but there is no candida! Has anyone ever heard of this?

Ther is no smell but its really sticky and white. My doctor is telling me its my body changing and I might have to eal with it the rest of my life! I refuse to believe him... help

the thick white discharge that itches is the candida.
What are the symptoms of candida?

The fungus tends to cause a profuse vaginal discharge of a thick or curdy nature, with patches of white on the vulva or vagina. Symptoms include itching, soreness and discomfort and the appearance of a skin rash similar to eczema.

im going to email you information about women who always get yeast infections and what they do about it.

Vaginal yeast infections, also called "Candida vaginal infections," typically are caused by the Candida albicans fungus. During a lifetime, 75 percent of all women are likely to have at least one vaginal Candida infection, and up to 45 percent have two or more. Women tend to be more likely to get to vaginal yeast infections if their bodies are under stress from poor diet, lack of sleep, illness, or when they are pregnant or taking antibiotics. Women with immune-suppressing diseases such as diabetes and HIV infection also are at increased risk.

Symptoms

The symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection include:

* Vaginal itch or soreness
* Thick, white, cheeselike discharge
* "Burning" discomfort around the vaginal opening, especially if urine touches the area
* Pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse.

Diagnosis

Your doctor will suspect an infection based on your symptoms. Your doctor will do a pelvic examination to look for inflammation and a white discharge in your vagina and around the vaginal opening. Your doctor may also take a sample of the vaginal discharge for quick examination under a microscope in the office or to send to a laboratory to test for yeast organisms, such as Candida fungi.
