Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Yes, indeed your three year old is patiently bearing his plight. Along with proper treatment (you now have a prescription from the doctor) there are a few things that you should look into. One is if you have a family history of diabetes, get his blood sugar levels checked and avoid foods high in sugar until the infection subsides completely.
Do not bathe him with scented soaps. You can use a mild soap or baby soap. Do not make him wear tight underwear as yeast grows well where there is moisture (sweat) and heat. Make him wear loose cotton clothes and undergarments. Do not use nappy pads. Make him sleep without underwear.
If the infection still persists consult a dermatologist or an urologist. Hope this helps. Take care!
