i took canesten one tablet and after a few days i had the medication residue oozing our of me and it seemed like the yeast infection got worst, then i saw the doctor again she prescribed me with a one table at the pharmacy. im not sure what it was but supposedly its really strong and it should of done the job. but i was fooling around with my boyfriend and i still taste bad like i still have the yeast infection...(before we fooled around and then i tasted really gross and i went to see the doctor and i found out i had a yeast infection and now after all the meds i still taste gross) hahah i just want to taste like a normal girl? b.c its making me feel really self conscious

How soon after you took the medication did you fool around?

I would suggest waiting for a while until you're sure everything is cleared up... you can pass yeast infections back and forth. Plus, the medications themselves might make you taste weird until they are all out of your system.

I'd check with your bf to make sure he doesn't have any symptoms (In males, itchiness, redness, discharge possible but not always there) and he can use an over the counter like monistat (break open the capsule and rub it on his penis) to treat it.

But anyway, how you taste might change from time to time- and if you're still recovering from an infection, that would make sense. If you're not having any other symptoms of a yeast infection (discharge, smell, itchiness) then it's not likely that you have one. Perhaps the medication was making you taste off. Since you waited a week, that should be a good amount of time.

First off...calm down. If a yeast infection became so severe at to affect your reproductive system...you´d be close to dead before it happened. So look on the bright side. Smile

K. enough joking around. I know yeast infections can be quite frustrating and being that you´re 13 and 14, you´re probably scared as well. Try to relax. Millions upon millions of people experience yeast infections at least 1 time in their lives. Try the following natural treatments first.

The symptoms (you may not experience all of them):
- white cottage cheese-like discharge
- some odor
- dryness (can cause bleeding)
- digestive problems
- itchiness
- burning urination
- painful intercourse
- a feeling of just not being "normal"

Here are some safe, natural cures you can implement.

- avoid scented soaps
- avoid sugars and complex carbs for a week
- air out the infected area while you're sleeping at night
- add grapefruit extract to your water during the day (balances hormones)
- eat probiotics like cottage cheese and yogurt
- shower frequently
-drink lots of water and eat plenty of fiber to flush the infection

also wear cotton panties (or at least panties with a cotton crotch). if you're wearing something without a cotton crotch, it's not letting your "who-who" breathe and this could be perpetuating the yeast infection.

yeast infection
It is not okay. You should see a doctor immediately because he will prescribe medication that you'll take. Because if you did not take antibiotics that has the right dosage for your yeast infection it is not yet cured.
