Hi im 14 years old and im Not sexually active i have never put anything up my vagina , and if i am masturbating its with my clit, i have been masturbating quite alote these past few weeks then all of a sudden i noticed a pain in my clitoris then a few hours later it was swollen , A Few days Later the pain was unbearable even affecting the way i sit and walk, Ive looked at it in the mirror maybe thinking of it as a pimple and hoping it can go down. I REALLY NEED A REPLY PLEASE I AM IN SO MUCH PAIN, AND IM TOO EMBARRASED TO TELL MY MUM SO PLEASE CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THIS COULD BE ?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
The pain and swelling could suggest possibility of infection. Is there any foul smell, redness, discharge associated? If yes then they too would indicate that infection is present and that you should not delay in taking medical attention.
Talk to your Mom, she will understand. It is not abnormal for anyone to masturbate at your age. Visit your gynecologist/healthcare provider for an examination and tests to see the extent of problem and identify what has exactly happened. Based on the results of examination and tests, treatment will be given to you.
