User Profile
I am 17 years old and I am not sexually active. My symptoms include:

-Frequent urination.
-Urge to always go.
-Increased urination when I'm in school.
-Have to strain while I go.
-Feeling of pressure on my pelvic floor/bladder area.
-Some days urine comes out in abundance, but normal drinking.
-Other days I have trouble urinating.

I've been to a urologist but she couldn't proceed with my exam because I was too tense (which is another problem but i'm more concerned with the bladder) and I have had many ultrasounds and tests done but all have showed nothing wrong. I am not convinced, my parents, nurse, relatives aren't convinced and I really need some answers. Thank you for your consideration.

-Lyndsey

Urinary and Bladder Disorders Answer A22829
Hi, Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

In view of the symptoms of urgency and frequency which you're going through, it makes sense to get a CT scan or an MRI of the lower abdomen and pelvis done to look for a local pathology which might be irritating the bladder causing the symptoms you're going through.

A cystoscopy should also be done to look for any pathology within the urinary bladder. A blood sugar and urine analysis/ urine culture also should be done to rule out diabetes mellitus or any recurrent urinary infection causing the same.

A urologist/gynecologist will be the best person to help you in the same. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
