Our seven year old has had shoulder pains (right at base of neck) for about 2 weeks. She also complains that the pain is in her neck sometimes, and she has been saying that she has a headache every day for a week or a bit more. Motrin helps temporarily. We took her to her doctor a week and a half ago, and he said it could be her backpack (she rarely carries one) or a virus in her muscles, but that didn't seem right. Has anyone heard of this? She never injured herself at any time that we are aware of.
