My 2 year old daughter's Vagina is closed?! There is a thin layer of skin covering her hole is this normal?
But this is new because I noticed a hole there before and now its gone. I am a first time mother so of course im FREAKING OUT Help me.
I have taken her to a doctor and he said he has never seen anything like it. I am in Ireland in Donegal he said he will have to send her to Dublin hospital to see if a doctor will no what it is there.
If any of you have heard of this please tell me as i am worried.

If your docter that examined her does not know, it is difficult to even guess.

If it is not an imperforate hymen, it can be an adhesion where her inner lips fuse together due to low estrogen. Your doctor will normally give you an estrogen cream to rub on and the lips will separate again.

Hi twiggybacteria...I have heard of this problem before, however, I do not know the name for it...It is possible that later in life, she will have to have a minor surgery to correct this problem...This is what happened in the case that I am familiar with...She will have to be taken to a specialist who handles this...Not to worry, but do follow up on it...Take care...
