I have a question the other day they did an x-ray on my knee and they told me I didn''t have a patella or it was real small. I have never had knee surgery. would I have been able to walk if I didn''t have a patalla?

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

Depending on your age, the size of the patella varies.

In case , you did not have any difficulty to walk or perform any physical work involving the legs, then most probably your patella might not have completely calcified, hence appearing as absent.

In case, you do have problems with walking , etc, you might be having rare conditions like hypoplastic patella syndromes.

Consult a doctor for a examination and reassurance.
