hello im23 years old,i have a wpw sindrom and my doctor gave me a cordarone...and he said its not so dangeros and i should come in 4 months to took holter monitoring..but i heard that wpw sy is very dangerous syndrom and it comes to sudden death.. iam very scared about it i crie every day,im not sleeping i just expect sudden death....i dont have offten tahicardia...and my heart is healthy..am i going to die every second???????????please help me sorry my english is not so good i live in bosnia please help me i dont know what to do annymore.....

From what I know the chances of sudden death from wpw are very low - around 1 percent or less. The holter study will help give details about your condition and help the doc decide whether you should take medicines or an ablation. If you have frequent episodes or if you feel your quality of life due to this condition is poor you can consider an ablation - recommend you go to someone who has experience in such methods - an electrophysiologist as they say. am also considering the same for my own condition

My doctor told me that I could be walking down the steet and drop and die.so in my view i think that it is a little dangous. I have not study on it to see what the rates are for it but that is what I was told. i have had an ablation and as far as i remember it was outpatient. home that day. I was only 13 then and I am 26 now
