Worsening Urinary Tract Infection

A quick reply would be very gratefully received as my wife is in a lot of pain.

We believe my wife has a Urinary Tract Infection. She has been needing to pee frequently and there has been a burning pain when she pees. The problems initiall started a week and two days ago and following the advice on the NHS Direct website we tried to self treat the symptoms got worse (including blood in the urine) and so we went to see a Doctor a week ago. They prescribed her with a 5 day course of Norflox (1 x 400mg, twice daily), and Citralia (2 x 5ml, twice daily) and a 3 day course of Rantae (1 x 156mg, twice daily). These were prescribed without a urine test as their labs would not be open for two days (we are in India and it was late on a Friday night). These gave her some relief for some time and the symptoms seemed to subside, but as directed by the Doctor, in the meantime we went to have a urine test done the Tuesday following, this time at another hospital. The results of the test did not come through till today - just as the medicine from the first prescription came to an end.

Following this the Doctor indicated that it wasn't too severe and prescribed her a five day course of Oflox-OZ (half a tablet, twice daily), Sucrofil (2 x 5ml, 3 times a day) and Citralia (2 x 5ml, twice daily). This doesn't seem to be doing anything to help as the symptoms have started to get worse again. Are you able to decipher this report? Does the medication that she's been prescribed to date seem correct? If not, what should she be taking? What can she we do to help her recovery ourselves?
