last month, the last day of my period was on june 9. that same day, my boyfriend and i had sex and the condom broke, however he did not finish inside of me. within the next 24 hours, i had taken the plan B pill just to be totally safe. about a day or two later, i got some spotting and light blood for about 3 days which i am told is normal. today is july 5th so i am already late for my next period. is it normal to be late? will my cycle probably restart according to the time of the spotting? and did the few days of spotting after the pill mean that the pill was effective? i am so worried and scared so some advice would really really help me out! thank you!

Irregular periods are very common after you've taken Plan B.

You really don't have anything to worry about in terms of pregnancy. You wouldn't have been ovulating at that time and Plan B also lowers your chances.

Your periods may be a little messed up for 3 months and you may have some negative side effects that are similar to pregnancy symptoms (but they are not pregnancy symptoms).

You may want to consider pairing condoms and other forms of birth control-- like pills or spermicides.
