Hello,
Welcome to ehealthforum
STDâs usually present with many symptoms chief ones being any discharge, burning sensation in urethra, redness, irritation, ulcer or sore, pain or blood during intercourse, pain in the genitalia or early flu like symptoms in case of HIV. Swollen lymph node is usually not the only presenting symptom of a STD.
There are different investigations as:1- Pap smear
2- Vaginal Culture
3-STD serology tests
4- Hormonal Tests
5-Colposcopy
based on the symptoms these help in ruling out the cause.Since they are mostly caused by unprotected intercourse with an unknown partner it is best to avoid it and always use protection.
Take care!
