Working with bipolar meds Posted: 03-31-08 23:02pm
I have been diagnosed with bipolar and am
now on meds I do not see myself going back
to where I worked. I will be 60 this year
and if I take a lower paying job it would
effect my social security. I hope that I
can be on disability until age 62. I
applied for short term disability in ca
today

I am glad to hear you applied for
disability. Your doctor can help
facilitate you being on disability for the
duration until you can collect your social
security. Hopefully, your doctor will have
some experience with this process. I hope
this works for you. Let us know how you
are.

I have been out of work almost two years
now and my SSD is just now gone to the
hearing office awaiting my court date. I
was denied twice. The word out is that
everyone usually gets denied twice. I also
am 60 and will reach 61 Aug 2nd. Just
seems like such a slow process and if you
look at my profile by clicking on my user
name, you will see why I can not work.
I wish you the best and hop it happens
soon. I was stupid and did not take out
short or long term disability when I
worked at the hospital, which I should
have done.

see if you can get an attorney to take
your case. Sometimes they don't charge
anything except when you win because they
already know you don't have a job etc...I
had a friend that was involved in a very
bad car accident and without an attorney
she was fighting to get her disability
etc...it took 4 months after getting an
attorney to get it..100%....
so don't give up and let the devil win...
