Q: Work and cysts on testicles

I had a cyst removed in the pass, but now i have problems again and i actually fear i have cyst on both testicles. Im in the process of finding out whats actually wrong. Im sure i will need an operation, i think thats pretty much a given. And as i have to do a fair bit of driving, id need quite a bit of time off work, maybe like 6 weeks. But the tricky thing is im in a work enviroment where theres no way i could actually say the real thing thats wrong, as no one could keep it under their hat so to speak. Id rather quit. But i'll need the time off if im to stay. What else can i say.

Weird question i know, sorry but its stressing me out.

6 weeks for having a cyst removed from testicle? Wow, seems like an extended time.

If your doctor says you need surgery and you must be off for 6 weeks then all you will need to do is tell your employer that per your doctor / surgeron you will need x amount of time off to heal.

Of course they will need a doctors excuse to be submitted to them. However what type of surgery you have is your business.

They may ask is it necessary or selective.

There is no law that I am aware of that states that they must know what you are having done.

It is a private matter...you business is just that, private.

6 weeks. well i was advised to have 6 weeks off last time, used it as a esitmate, but back then wasnt really up to much so was ok.

The thing is my work know something is wrong, at points ive been in agony. Ive just said stomach pains and that ill get it sorted. They know ive had hostpital visits too.

The fact that im persistantly asked is getting me down. Sad as it sounds, i dont think i could work there if i told them.
