I am experiencing some speech problems. I don't mean anything like lisping, but it is something like that. When I try to speak a sentence, words/phrases come out in the wrong order. For example, about 2 days ago, I tried to answer a question for my mother, and I was attempting to say, "At least I think so..." However, it came out as, "I think at least so." No biggie, but then I tried to ask later, "can I get on the computer," and instead, it came out as "Get on it the computer can I?" Seriously. THAT'S what came out. And THEN, if I'm trying to say something that involves plural words, such as "The puppies are cute, can I pet them?" (this one is just an example) it would come out as "Uh puppy ar cute kin I pat zem?" When I was younger I used to have a lisp, and it disappeared through speech therapy, but now, 7 years later, I am having more problems than normal. I have had some small injuries (falling down the stairs, running into walls, etc.) but i don't think that's it. Can you help??

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Speech disorders can be due to various reasons as cleft lip, palate, autism, apraxia etc.But since you had problems in childhood and had therapy it is better to get yourself clinically examined so that the exact cause can be ruled whether it is physical or psychological.
Since I am not examining you it is difficult to comment and it requires an evaluation.Consider visiting your Healthcare Provider for evaluation.

Take Care!
