Q: 8wks pregnant but measuring 6 wks

I went to the dr yesterday for a sonagram to check for the babies heartbeat because i was supposed to be around 8wks pregnant. But he couldnt get a heartbeat and said the baby was only measuring 6wks. He didnt really tell me to be alarmed but the sent me for more blood work to check on my HCG and Progesterone. Im scared that something is wrong and i cant find out anything till Monday.

Was the heartbeat not found with an ultrasound or those dopler things at the drs office?
