So im 39 weeks today and no sign of labor has come. Baby is doing great and so am I. Its now just a waiting game. Last week I had 0 dilation and no effacement. I chose not to get checked today cause it was sooo uncomfortable last time. I have been having mild contractions and some pressure but nothing regular or back to back. The midwife says she is guessing that the baby will be between 6-7 1/2 pounds...maybe 8.

Im very uncomfortable and tired. Cant sleep cant walk well, I have it all. But I am so thrilled that he is going to be coming soon.

We have all of our supplies on hand. I even have the birth tub blown up. Its the funniest thing cause its 6ft by 2ft and its in our bedroom up against the closet. There is nooo room to even walk. But we want it ready to clean when I start labor. Just filling it will take at least an hour. We have all of our birth supplies also. I went to goodwill and bought towels and blankets to throw away. Daniel is so excited too. All of our friends cannot wait for our birth.

Our family is a little stand-offish becasue of the home birth. But they are also coming along.

Well thats about it for now. I will keep everyone posted. If you have any questions about my home birth please ask. I would love to share.

thanks!
My due date is Sept 5th. There has definatley been new things going on down there...thats for sure. Like pressure I havent felt before. We will see. Im sure I will know when labor begins though...right?

I imagine that I would. but I hear women say that they were out shopping and doing things at the beginning of their labor...so maybe it will be gradual. WHo knows. Only baby knows for sure!

I would love to have a home birth. I'm excited for you. It'll be an experience you'll never forget and hopefully a great one! Are you gonna have a doula or midwife present? I'm thinking about having my next one at a place called the Birth Cottage. It's a block away from the hospital instead of the 35 minutes my house is. But it's like a home and you get to go home the same day. That was the worst part about the hospital. They came to check everything every 3 hours and we got NO sleep the first 2 days. I can't wait to hear how it goes!!!
