Not the gauze you bite down on, but the medicated gauze that's stuffed into the hole has unraveled and is over halfway out. I have it clenched between my teeth as I type. There is a bit of an ache but no bleeding thus far. I've already tried calling my dentist, my oral surgeon, and the emergency dentist clinic, but they're all closed for the day.

What do I do? Do I take it out? I'm not due to have it out for at least a week, I think. Do I cut off the excess? I think it's too late to try to stuff it back in and I'm not sure if I can do that, anyway.
