HIV and AIDS Forum - will i contract aids ?

today i had protected sex with a prostitute for less than a minute and then got scared and stopped.she had told me that she had only protected sex and had not contracted aids.i'm in such a bad frame of mind i cant do my work properly,not able to sleep .I m too scared and have decided never to do anythin like this ever again.plz help me out

Hi. Well, we all make mistakes. Do not beat yourself up over it. If you think you got a STD from her then get tested, not just for HIV but also other STDS. The HIV virus will not test positive for 3 months in most people but get tested for other STDS and let the clinic know the story. Good Luck. I think you will be OK.
