My wife recently got a check up and her blood pressure was 195/102. The doctor told her she also has high cholesterol and a heart murmur. she went back 2 weeks later and her blood pressure was around the same. ekg showed her heart was enlarged. They are now testing her for artery blockages. she is only 38 is this usual in someone her age?

The unfortunate reality is that women get atherosclerotic disease as do men. Your wife's blood pressure is too high and calls for treatment, as does her cholesterol. There are different kinds of heart murmurs and one would have to have specific knowledge, including a detailed history, in order to assess its importance. Also, keep in mind that the electrocardiogram offers an indirect measure of heart size.
You wife may well merit an echocardiogram to clarify the heart murmur and heart enlargement, and I would suggest that she discuss this with her doctor.
Please keep in mind that I am unable to diagnose medical conditions online.
