Why should medical records go paperless? Though most of the physician understands the importance of keeping patient health records in electronic medium, some prefers to keep medical records in traditional paper documents. It is not because they are not use to online data storage, it is due to their preference to be the way it is always been. Resistance to change is a part of all industries and domains, but it is hugely seen in health care industry. Nowadays the trend is changing where more and more physician are in search out for an excellent electronic medical record system to keep patient records in centralized data storage with anytime anywhere information access. The tremendous change of physicians to look out for online data storage is due to easier claim processing, administration effectiveness and improved work flow management with quality patient care. This is a proof for health care industry taking new shapes by accommodating new technologies of information systems.
