Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Alterations or sudden changes in period pattern and symptoms could be suggestive of causes like hormonal imbalances, endometrial changes, perimenopausal onset, etc. The exact cause can only be made out after careful evaluation. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for thorough evaluation to look for the exact underlying cause if the periods are abnormal/altered, or if periods continue to be abnormal in your next menstrual cycle. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
Take care.
