wantstobeamum, Every woman is different and you cannot generalize about it. The one difference between animals and humans are that we are in control of our own urges and does not have to give in to any urge.

If it bothers you or cause you to do things you do not want to do, speak to your doctor. They can make sure your hormones are well balanced.

If you have not been for your first ObGyn exam, now might be the right time to do it.

Take care!

You're a human and it is normal to feel aroused on a regular basis. This can be caused by human's natural urge to want to reproduce. It is only society that tries to put a bar on women's sexuality when biologically a woman's sex drive can be just as high or higher than a mans. So never feel ashamed about your sexuality as a woman you have just as much right as a man to explore your sexuality. Don't let culture deprive you.

However, to specifically answer your personal situation. Your screen name is "wants to me a mom". This shows your interest at this time in reproducing and having children; therefore, it seems that you are probably horny all the time because your biological clock is ticking and you really want to have a child. So your body is in a sense always ready to have sex so you can get pregnant to fulfill your want to have a child. So its normal, you just simply probably want a child, and in order to do that you need to have sex, and its easier to agree to sex when you're horny. It's just simple biology and logic. Have a nice day.

Interesting. I thought only guys would experience the background music, i.e. "want to have sex". The difference is that for guys it's just sex, for women it's about wanting to start a family.

I can relate to it and do want to have children. Too bad it takes longer to find The One.

my question to this is why is it so NOT normal for a woman to be highly sexual? I am very much highly sexual and I am not attempting to reproduce as I already have been blessed with children. My hormones seems to never slow down but I have learned to keep them controlled. If it is human nature then why is it so unheard of? Just curious about the notion that women are not supposed to be as horny, and I find that to be a myth as I am a witness and a member.

Women can be just as horny as men. BUT it is wrong for both genders to "give way" to their urges to satisy their own sexual desires when not in a committed relationship.

You can control those desires....the difference between animals and humans is that we can have the ability to step outside ourselves and THINK about what we want to do. We do not do things by instincts.

Your opinion is not a fact
Don't push your ideas of morality onto others.

Nobody asked your opinion about whether it is "right" or "wrong" to engage in normal/healthy sexual activities. Regardless of whether or not YOU believe people shouldn't engage in sex outside of a "committed" relationship is of no concern here. Additionally, you should NEVER state your feelings as facts--opinions are never facts.

I feel horny most days, and when I can, I find my man and let him do what it takes to make it all go away! Wink

Actually, your sexuality is part of what makes you human. Most animals only are sexual when in "season", and the sexual act is not for pleasure (though it is pleasurable for most mammals), but for procreation. Humans have been given sexuality as a pleasurable way to bond with their mates, as well as providing additional children as time goes by.

Enjoy your sexuality - you can be assured your husband will be happy for it! For most women there comes a time when the furthest thing from their mind is sex - like at 3:00 a.m. feeding times, cleaning up dirty diapers, listening to your 16 year old back talk you endlessly . . . Keep your sexuality fresh and use it often - it is a wonderful way to stay young and feel connected to your man!

I have just finished my first period since august last year, due to having a contraceptive implant. Having had that taken out and just finishing my period, i have felt constantly turned on. Its strange though cos whilst having the implant in i was never interested in sex, which put pressure on my relationship. Could the implant have been the cause of this?

facts and opinions
@educated_woman: No need to get uptight when one posts what they believe. You may believe in how things should be stated. Seems you are "pushing" those beliefs, oh educated amongst the rest of us.

Hey people!! I am a 30 year old woman. I am a very sexual person. I think about sex like all the time.. Sometimes I worry because I feel like I am the only woman that thinks like me. Some of my friends are very reserved and when we go out and I drink (maybe not a good idea) I get very flirtatious, I think because I have no inhibitions with drink and all my frustration lets loose. Not so good when you have two kids Sad Next day I feel like a loser and slut... I have avoided going out this past year due to all of this. I do not trust myself. Drink is not only to blame, I am just a horny woman..

Being a sexual person is not to blame for the failure to control yourself. If you are losing control when you drink, you need to limit what you drink. If you can't do it alone, find a support group to help you limit or stop drinking.

Regarding sleeping around, there's nothing wrong with safe sex, but it's impossible to be totally "safe" which is why it's good to get to know someone at least a bit before you sleep with them.

Have you thought about dating to meet someone that is a reliable long-term partner that could eventually be a great sex partner as well as a good role model for your children?

Moms are sexual beings and there is NOTHING wrong with that. But you need to be smart about how you meet your needs as a human being. Good luck.

Nothing to feel ashamed of especially when you have a husband. He's got a sexual problem, is my guess.

I think were all different, we all have different desires as individuals but I don't see nothing wrong with the desire of wanting sex. I'm a 22 year old woman and have thought about sex ever since the day I lost my virginity. Nothing wrong with experimenting
In the bedroom with diff people but I've found my cravings for sex are fullfilled much stronger with someone whom I'm in a relationship with, sex with partners is amazing. Good luck and don't let anyone tell u that your not normal Smile

Am I alone
I'm a 20 year old woman and I've been in a relationship for a good 5 years but we don't stay near one another and it can be months before we see each other, dose it make me a terrible person that I want to sleep around even though I never would because I love my bf. I find it hard to concentrate on anything a lot of the time because I'm thinking about sex and it manifests as a shamelessly flirtashus nature that even when I try to rain in I just can't help myself. I'm not even particular about who I flirt with because male or female of it is possible to have hot sweaty sex for no other reason than to have a good orgasm if I was single I probibly would. To be honist I'd probibly be a much calmber person.
