Q: Why are my posts being removed?

Am I breaking a board rule?

Ive written two posts now, theyve both just been taken off with no notification - when I click them in my hitory I just get "not found". Is there some code of conduct I need to be aware of?

I would appreciate if someone could let me know, or at least tell me Im not welcome here - then I can find an alternative arrangement!

If this one also disappears into the internet ether, I will get the message and stay away!

Thanks

You might want to review the terms of use for this site to make sure you are not indavertantly breaking a rule. http://pregnancy.ehealthforum.com/health/t erms_of_use.html (I know I have unknowingly broken the rules before.) However, I always received a warning when I committed a no- no. To get a more definitive answer, you may want to contact admin. (admin is the actual screen name for one of the people in administration or you can click on the Contact Us link at the bottom of the site's home page.)
Hope this helps. And please don't run off so soon. We are always glad to welcome new members to ehealth forum.

Hi deteragram

Thank you for your reply! I had posted in the hypoglycemia board. I have taken a look at the rules you posted up there, and with one post the only rule I can see I might have broken was that I asked about a couple of particular products effectiveness by name, so may have broken the "no advertising" rule. However I have seen other users name names before so Im not sure.

With the other post, the only thing I can think of was that I used my first name at the bottom, which may have broken the anonymity rule. Apart from that I was just asking for help and advice on hypoglyceamia and diet ... I wouldnt mind so much but the only communication I ever received from the board was an email to tell me that THIS thread (the one you are now reading) had been moved to Q and A. So from my point of view, my first two posts disappeared with no word of why, and then the post I made to find out why, got moved too. Was feeling mildly paranoid to say the least ... but maybe that was my low blood sugar giggle I couldnt find a button or link anywhere to contact admin, i did take a look at one mod's profile, but saw no 'PM' or message button.

Thanks for the help and encouragement though, I feel a bit less tense about the place now luvcomp

Hi, F50.

Some posts are removed only temporarily from the boards until our administrators can review the posts. Then, posts are restored. This may have been the case with your posts...please let me know!

Hi Lee

When I tried to access them from my browser history, you are right - it came up and said the post was being reviewed. It was like that for a few hours, and then when I came back later it just said not found or had been removed, cant remember the wording, only that it changed. It disappeared from the post list too.

I think TBH the reason they got taken down was because I used my name at the bottom, which would be against the anonymity rule. I notice general users dont sign with their name at all here. Things seem to be ok now, I have a post back up and its getting replies, so Im happy! Smile

Thank you
