Q: white spots on skin

hello everyone,
im concerned on my skin because i notice i have a lot of white spots on my arms and sometimes it itches .some say it might be the sun that cuases it but i dont know can someone please help me .it does really look bad ..what should i put to get rid of it ...pleas and thanx
