I'm a 23 year old female in a monogamous relationship. Last Sunday and Tuesday during intercourse, I began experiencing pain halfway up my vaginal canal and towards my cervix. I had noticed during the week that my discharge appeared thicker but assumed it was due to my period coming soon. During sex today, I experienced the pain again, this time with a lot of the thick, white discharge that also had a foul smell.

I'm really hoping that this is due to being on anti-biotics (cefprozil)for an ear infection two weeks ago but there is no burning or itching. I am not on the pill, we have used condoms everytime and in January, he was tested and came back clean.

Is this a yeast infection or BV? Or am I looking at something more serious? I have an appointment scheduled for later in the week but was hoping to calm my racing thoughts.
