Q: White deposits in throat ?!?!?!

My name is Carly and I am 20 years old, ever since I was 15 I've been experiencing these really uncomfortable, soft like, white deposits that tend to leave behind a "bad " smell in my mouth, someone described it best by saying it "smells like food left behind in your teeth" and now I am getting to the point where I Don't know what to do anymore!!
If I don't get them out I feel like I am gagging and I find myself choking on nothing in public, because these things are trying to make their way out of my tonsils. I have done research and I am starting to wonder if I have a severe case of Cryptic Tonsillitis. I do experience some chest pain, but I am still trying to find out if that is due to stress, I don't know though. I hope someone can answer my question or at least guide me into the right direction! Thanks.

P.S. the only way to feel better, is to literally stick my finger in my tonsil and push them out, which often results in a sore throat...which is what I am going through right now...

Have you been experiencing few recurrent episodes of red, swollen tonsils with whitish-yellow deposits each year for the last five years?
Are you experiencing painful or difficult swallowing with changes in voice?
Have you been tested for some bacteria?

Having, chronic tonsillits for years can lead to cryptic tonsillitis.

This is not a diagnosis; this is just something that family members figured out that helped me. When you have allergy problems and are constantly sniffling/ swallowing the phlegm from your nose it doesn't all go down your throat. It collects into little white balls. If you ever cough one up and mash it the smell coming from it will make you gag! You need to get on a good allergy medicine. What helped me also was gargling first thing in the morning and drinking hot liquids to wash it down. Luckily the daily use of allergy medicine all but eliminated the problem and I only experience this when I have a really severe allergic reaction.

A little hygenic hint: if you experience this while around others make sure you get to a toothbrush ASAP, pop a mint or chew some gum if possible. You may not smell those little buggers but others can.

Hope this helps you out.

As I wrote in my previous post, cryptic tonsilitis can be due to chronic tonsilitis, or frequent attacks of sore throat.
Acctually, chronic tonsilitis can result from not fully recovered throat after viral or bacterial infections, or due to frequent allergies.
Also, 30% of this condition can be due to HPV infection.
