I have a problem that maybe you can help me understand. I am 48 years old, never had a vaginal orgasm and the only way I can even achieve orgasm is by using an external vibrator. NOW, my husband notices last night that my larger out "lips" are gone completely. What does that mean? Can that be why I cannot achieve orgasm? What should I do? I did have a complete hysterectomy in 2001. Would the lack of hormones change my outer lip and make it totally disappear over the last couple of years? I am just so confused. Please help.

It means you are in menopause.

When you are in menopause your hormone levels and genitals return to the state it was as a pre-pubertal girl. Everything 'deflates' and becomes thinner and less flexible.

Discuss this with your doctor.some hormone replacement therapy can counteract this.

Regular arousal and orgasms ( intercourse or masturbation) will also keep these tissue more healthy for a longer time.

You may also be drier, with less vaginal discharge and cervical mucus. So remember to use personal lubricant to keep things slip sliding.

Best of luck!
